JESUS WAS MENTIONED IN VEDAS

Christ in Ancient Vedas
When Christ was born in Palestine it was informed the wise men of the east, the non-Jewish world. Not only at His birth even before that, the plan of salvation through the sacrificial death of Christ was revealed in the ancient Vedas, the Hindu religious books. When the ancient sages wrote about the sacrifice of Prajapati (God), quite unknowingly they were portraying the Lord Jesus Christ as the way of salvation.
Prajapati’s Sacrifice as described in the Vedas
The Vedas are a collection of Hindu religious books written before the earthly life of the Lord Jesus Christ. The literal meaning of the word is the Lord of all creation. He is the Creator. Therefore, the Prajapati’s Sacrifice means the Sacrifice of God Himself. There are several verses in the Vedas in connection with this. Let me quote one of them from the Tandyamahabrahmana in its second part, chapter 7:
“Prajapatirddevebhyam
Atmanam yajnam krtva prayacchat”
(Having done a self-sacrifice, Prajapati, the Lord of all creation, offered Himself for gods.)
This concept of self-sacrifice is very significant. Normally, God is supposed to receive sacrifices and offerings; but here the victim of sacrifice is God Himself.
The opinions of the Hindu Scholars
Among the Hindu scholars we cannot see any unanimous opinion about the Prajapati-sacrifice. According to some scholars this sacrifice has not yet been done on this earth, yet others hold that it is only a model of a perfect sacrifice, which is already done in heaven. H. Aguilar, one of the Sanskrit scholars of India, writes in his book, The Sacrifice in the Rg Veda, as follows:
“Taken in its totality, the myth of the Purusa/Prajapati is not unworthy of the Christian conception of the redemptive incarnation of the logos (Word = Jesus) by means of ‘kenosis’ (emptying), leaving out the question whether they (Christians) can be homologated (in agreement) or not” (The Sacrifice in the Rg Veda, Page 69. Bharatiya Vidya Prakasam, Delhi. India. 1976).
We can agree to the opinion of the Sanskrit scholar when we understand the sacrificial nature of the crucifixion of Jesus Christ for the remission of the sin of mankind. The Holy Bible always explains the death of Jesus Christ as sacrifice. This concept of sacrifice involves love, self-denial, covenant, bloodshed and burning. It is the greatest manifestation of love. Jesus said: “Greater love has no one than this, that one laid down his life for his friends” (John 15:13).
Some Important Features of the Prajapati’s Sacrifice fulfilled in Jesus
(1) The meaning of the word ‘Prajapati’ (the Lord of all creation) is fulfilled only in Jesus.
According to the Holy Bible, Jesus Christ is the creator of the world: “All things came into being by Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being” (John 1: 3). About Him it is also written: “Thou Lord, in the beginning didst lay the foundation of the earth, and the heavens are the works of Thy hands” (Hebrews 1: 10). Jesus is the real Prajapati – the Lord of all creation.
(2) According to the Vedas, Prajapati is called Purusa, the Man of perfection. (Purusasukta, Rg Veda 10: 90: 1-16). Christ refers to Himself ‘Son of Man” (Matt.20:28).
(3) The definitions of ‘Purusa’ in Vedic literature are meaningful only when they applied to Jesus.
Definition #1 is quoted from ‘Yajur Veda’ 32:4: “Purvoh jatah Purusah” which means one who is born in the beginning. Well, Jesus has no beginning. He is eternal. Still Jesus is called the first born in the Bible: “He is the image of invisible God, the first born of all creation” (Colossians 2: 15).
Definition # 2 “Purnatvad Purusah” means the One who is perfection is Purusah is also fulfilled in Jesus. When all men of the world are imperfect beings, Jesus Christ, the Son of Man is the one and the only perfect Man in this world.
Definition #3: “Sa yat purvo asmat sarvasmat sarvan papmana ausat tasmat Purusah (He who burns out sin before all is Purusa” (Brhadaranykoponisad 1.4.1). The Chandogyopanisad 1.6. 6-7 says: This man is above all sin and one who worships Him and follows Him also raise himself above sins.”
Jesus Christ came to this world to save sinners from their sins. At the same time He was above from sins. He is the one and the only sinless Man in this world. According to the Vedas the victim of the Purusa-Prajapati’s sacrifice should be blameless. It is completely fulfilled in Jesus.
(4) The Sacrificial Man should be closely tied to the sacrificial pillar (Sathapathabrahmana 3.7.3.1). Christ was closely nailed to the cross, the sacrificial pillar.
(5) The blood of the Sacrificial Man should be shed, according to the Vedas. Fulfilled in Jesus’ crucifixion.
(6) The Sacrificial Man should return to life after the sacrifice. (Brhadaranykopanisad 3.9.28.4,5). Fulfilled in Jesus’ resurrection

  39. In 1784, the famous Indologist Sir William Jones wrote the following letter to Sir Warren Hastings, Governor General of India, confirming our suspicions.

"As to the general extension of our pure faith in Hindoostan there are at present many sad obstacles to it... We may assure ourselves, that Hindoos will never be converted by any mission from the church of Rome, or from any other church; and the only human mode, perhaps, of causing so great a revolution, will be to translate into Sanscrit... such chapters of the Prophets, particularly of ISAIAH, as are indisputably evangelical, together with one of the gospels, and a plain prefatory discourse, containing full evidence of the very distant ages, in which the predictions themselves, and the history of the Divine Person (Jesus) is predicted, were severally made public and then quietly to disperse the work among the well-educated natives." (Asiatic Researches Vol. 1. Published 1979, pages 234-235. First published 1788).

  43. I am happy to see group of people has common understanding of the Truth, That Jesus is the Son of living God Messiah, He is the Word, In the beginning was the Word and word was with God and Work was God. He is the incarnate God, to be a lamb of God to take away the Sins of World. Have we considered that salvation is Man need, and what is the need of God by saving us? He wants his children to be one, not being divided by religion, cast, race, sect, denomination.

  46. Vedic requirements for the Sacrificial Purusha (The Rig Veda specifies ten important requirements for the sacrificial Purusha)
    1. Should be without a blemish (Nishikalanga Purusha)
Kaatyaayana Srautasootram describes in chapter six, that the water and fire were to be used for the purification of the animals, since blameless (defect less) animals are not available in this world.

    2. The Purusha has to be separated from others
While sacrificing the horse, the sacrificial horse is always separated from other horses. A bush of thorns is usually placed on the head of the horse to inform the people that this horse is separated from the sacrifice.
Also the head of the horse is considered to represent the Purusha (Sathapatha Brahmana 13th kanda, 6.22).

    3. The Purusha has to be rejected by his own people
In Itareya Brahmana it is written that the sacrificial animal should be rejected by its father, mother, brother, sister and friends (2.16).

    4. The Yagna Purusha has to suffer silently
Rig Veda 5.46.1 says, "Like a horse I have yoked myself, well knowing to the pole. I seek neither release nor turning back".

    5. The Purusha has to be tied to a post
In Satapata Brahmana it is written, never do they immolate an animal without tying it to a pole. "Na varute yapaat pasum alabhate kadachana (III -7.3.1)". It is important to tie the animal to a sacrificial pillar before it is sacrificed.
This pillar is called "Yupastampa (sacrificial pillar)", which has now become a flag mast.

    6. The blood of the sacrificial man should be shed
Bruhad Aranyaka Upanishad (3.9.28.2) says, "Tvacha evasya rudhiram, prasyandi tvacha utpatah, Tasmaattadarunnaat praiti, raso vrukshadi vahataat",
As the sap comes out of the cut tree, blood comes out of the Purusha who is cut.

    7. The sacrificed animal's bones should not be broken
In Itareya Brahmana 2.6 it is stated that the sacrificer separates the twenty-six ribs of the animal without breaking them

    8. The sacrificed Purusha should return to life
    The Bruhad Aranyaka Upanishad says,
"Yad Vruksho vrukshano rohati, mulannavatharah punah, martyah svinmrutyuna vruknah, kasmaanmulaat prarohati, Retasa iti maavocata, jivatastat praja yate, dhanaruh a iva vai crau vruksho, anjasaa pretya sammbhavha",
which means, if the tree is cut, it will grow again from its root. But after the man (martyah) was cut off by death, from which root does he come forth? Do not say that has is from the ratas (seed or semen) because ratas comes from the one who lives. Remember this man is dead. But this man (Purusha) comes alive, on his own.

    9. The flesh of the Purusha should be eaten by his saints
In Satpata Brahmana(5.1.1.1,2) we find that Prajapati gave Himself up to them, thus the sacrifice became theirs, and indeed the sacrifice is the food of the gods (saints).

    10. The sacrifice is for all
Verse 8 in Purusha Sukta explains,
Tasmaad yagnatsarvahutah, pasuntamscakre voayaryaa, naananyaan gramyaasca ye.
By that sacrifice, all these originated: sprinkled ghee and all kinds of animals of the sky, forest and country. The significance of sprinkled ghee represents the original sacrifice.
Verse 9 of Purusha Sukta says:
Tasmaad yagnat sarvahuta, nucha samaari jagnire, Chandaamsi jagnine, tasmaad yajustas naada jaayatah.
From that sacrifice, Purusha offered everything that he had, including the Rig, Sama, Yazur Vedas and the Chandas (sacred writings).

  47. How meticulously these Vedic requirements have been fulfilled in Jesus Christ of Nazareth

    1. Jesus Christ was without any blemish
In the Old Testament Bible it is written, "Do not bring anything with a defect, because it will not be accepted on your behalf"(Levi 22:20). "Whether male or female, present before the Lord an animal without defect " (Levi 3:1).
The New Testament says, "In Him (Jesus Christ) there was no sin"(1 John 3:5).

    2. Jesus Christ was separated from others
The Bible says, "the soldiers platted a crown of thorns, and put it on his head, and they put on him a purple robe" John 19:2, thus separating Him from others.

    3. Jesus Christ was rejected by his own people
    The Prophet Isaiah wrote,
"He (Jesus Christ) was despised and rejected and they shouted to crucify him".
Jesus said on the cross, "Eloi Iama sabaktani", which means, "My God, My God, why have you forsaken me?" (Mathew 27:46).

    4. Jesus Christ suffered silently
"He was oppressed and afflicted, yet He did not open his mouth. He was led like a lamb to the slaughter and as a sheep before the Shearer's is silent" (Isaiah 56:7).

    5. Jesus Christ was tied
Ps. 118:27 says, "Bind the sacrifice with cords, even unto the horns of the altar".

    6. Jesus Christ's blood was shed
This was fulfilled in Jesus Christ when he was nailed to the cross.
"He did not enter by means of the blood of goats and calves; but entered the most holy place once for all by His own blood, having obtained eternal redemption. Without shedding blood there is no redemption" (Heb 9:12,22).

    7. Jesus Christ's bones were not broken
In the Bible, Exodus 12:46 says that the bones of the animal should not be broken. Three hours after crucifixion,
"when they (soldiers) came to Jesus, and saw that he was dead already, they brake not his legs"(John 19:33).

    8. Jesus Christ rose again from the dead
"Him (Jesus Christ) God raised up the third day, and showed him openly" (Acts 10:40). "But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the first fruits of them that slept"(1Cor. 15:20).

    9. Jesus Christ gave his body to be eaten
At the last supper Jesus took the bread, gave thanks and gave it to his disciples saying,
"Take and eat; this is my body. Then He took the cup, gave thanks, and offered it to them, saying, Drink from it, all of you. This is my blood of the new covenant, which is shed for many, for the forgiveness of sins" (Mat. 26: 26,27).

    10. Jesus Christ was given to all
"He who did not spare His own son, but gave him up for us all, how will he not also, along with him graciously give us all things?" (Romans 8:32)

  55. I have a friend from South India. He is a devout Hindu converted to christian. He is a nice person I had met him on internet and then we became friends. What I am about to tell you is his personal testimony, he was a devout follower and worshipper of Hindu gods and goddesses.Life was going good and normal for him until one night he went to bed just like any other usual day. He had a very vivid dream. In that dream, he told me that in front of him, all the signs and logos of every major religion on earth were being displayed in front of him. Om of sanatan hindu, sign of Allah for Islam, cross of Jesus for Christians and all other major religions you name it. He said among all those signs, he could clearly see a very bright light coming from behind the cross sign of Jesus. All other signs had darkness or no light behind them. At the end of the dream, he said a voice told him, All your sins are forgiven". He woke up completely terrified. Within a week, he got baptized and surrendered his life to Jesus. I am a Hindu too but to be honest, I had never felt peace and joy in life before as much as peaceful I feel now after I have given my life to Jesus. There is a power in the name of Jesus. Hell is real, heaven is real, demons are real and holy spirit is also real. Jesus Christ is coming again to judge to this wicked and sinful world whether you realise or not but he is. He is God incarnate in flesh. This is not fear mongering. God doesn't want you to come to him out of fear, all he wants is your true and sincere heart. World is heading towards the end, look around you corona virus, earthquakes have increased in all these years, all these things are predicted in the Bible what will happen in the last days. Lord says in the Bible that in the last days, I will give dreams and visions to my people.
